๐๐๐Ride through the Irish Hills๐๐๐
Michigan is has over 100 State Parks throughout the scenic state. The Irish Hills is home to one of Michigan’s first parks, W.J. Hayes State Park! The park covers over 654 acres on the corner of Wamplers Lake!
.
The W. J. Hayes State Park was dedicated in 1920. In 1930 the park was named in honor of the family of Michigan State Senator Walter J. Hayes after they made a donation of land.
.
The park has some of the best scenery that Michigan has to offer; lakes, wildlife, woods and so much more! With an array of available activities, this Park is perfect to create lasting memories with your friends and families.
.
Fishing for bass, bluegill and pike, swimming, hiking, boat launch, boat rentals, campgrounds and mini-cabins are all options while enjoying W. J. Hayes State Park!

Very fun, family oriented, clean and safe campground!!
Family spent a few days here and it was very relaxing. Fishing, swimming, walking and good games of cornhole! Restroom and showers were well kept. Staff was very friendly ๐๐๐Can't wait to go back
Just left Hayes state park, one of the nicest state parks I've camped at so far. Very clean & quiet. We loved it there. Definitely will be back. An added bonus, Randy's roadside bbq, excellent food & desserts, practically right outside the campground.
